The Tale of the Pigapot
This is the tale of a small creature who is born into the world and sets out to find out where he belongs. Along the way he encounters all sorts of birds and beasts and talks with them about where and how they live. He makes some friends, and realises in the end that he already fits in the world by being himself, as does everyone else.
I first conceived this story when my children were quite small and then spent several years illustrating it. It was an amazing project to do. Having always had a fascination for patterns and designs from all over the world, the pictures just flowed from my hand without any apparent interference from my brain! I had particular fun inventing alphabets for all the different animals.
It is too different from the usual children's book for any publisher to take a risk on, so I am printing it myself. Please contact me if you are interested in buying a copy or just want to make a comment.
